Fair Summary of Ordinance No. 192 

Notice is hereby given that the Commissioners of Leonardtown have passed, and the Mayor has approved, Ordinance No. 192, Sale of Surplus Property.  A fair summary of the ordinance will follow:

Ordinance No. 192- An ordinance for the purpose of approving the Commissioners of Leonardtown to sell real property located at 41660 Courthouse Drive, Unit #301.

Ordinance No. 192 will become effective July 28, 2019.  Full text of this ordinance may be obtained at the Town Office at 22670 Washington Street, Leonardtown, MD between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Notice of Public Hearing

The Commissioners of Leonardtown will hold a public hearing on August 12, 2019 at 4:15 p.m. in the Town Office, located at 22670 Washington Street, Leonardtown, MD. The purpose of the hearing is to present for public review and comment Ordinance No. 193- text amendments to Commercial Business, Commercial Highway and Commercial Marine zoning categories adding breweries, distilleries and wineries as permitted uses.  A copy of the proposed ordinance is available for review at the Town Office.  All interested parties are encouraged to attend or to submit written comments by 4:00 p.m. on August 12, 2019 to the Commissioners of Leonardtown, P.O. Box 1, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Special accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities upon request.

Trash Collection for Thursday & Friday Slides Forward One Day Due to Fourth of July Holiday Observance

Important News for Town of Leonardtown Residents


In observance of the Fourth of July Holiday 
Trash Collection will be on a holiday
 slide for Thursday, July 4th.

Trash collection for Thursday will be picked up on Friday
Friday’s trash collection will be picked up on Saturday

Town Office will be Closed July 4th and July 5th

In observance of the Fourth of July holiday the Town Office 
will be closed on Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th.

The Town Office will re-open on Monday, July 8th at 8:30 a.m.
