Notice is hereby given that the Commissioners of Leonardtown have passed, and the Mayor has approved, Ordinance No. 217 - Chapter 62 - Development Impact Fees of the Code of the Town of Leonardtown.  A fair summary of the ordinance will follow:

 

Ordinance No. 217 - An ordinance for the purpose of repealing Chapter 62-1.1 regarding an impact fee for school facilities.

 

Ordinance No. 217 will become effective July 10, 2023.  Full text of this ordinance may be obtained at the Town Office at 22670 Washington Street, Leonardtown, MD between the hours of 8.30 am. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday or

The Town of Leonardtown is accepting resumes for a full-time Event Planner/Coordinator.  Responsibilities include managing all aspects of the event planning process, including collaboration with subcontractors, venue identification, printing and design of material and budget tracking.  Collaboration with departments as well as local community groups. Attend community functions to network and identify potential opportunities.  

Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, marketing, business administration, or a related field or equivalent combination of experience, education and training is required.  Excellent time management, composition of written materials, graphic/social media knowledge and competent communication skills required. Event physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary office work. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include late nights and weekends. Annual salary will start at $46,619 and up based on experience.

The purpose of the hearing will be to receive comments on Ordinance No. 214 – The Commissioners of Leonardtown Infrastructure Bonds, 2023 Series A.  An ordinance for the purpose of:  providing for the issuance and sale by the Commissioners of Leonardtown of an aggregate principal amount not to exceed nine million dollars ($0,000,000) of bonds of the issuer, to be known as “The Commissioners of Leonardtown Infrastructure Bonds, 2023 Series A”

 

Comments will also be received on Ordinance No. 215 – Chapter 60 – Critical Areas of the Code of the Town of Leonardtown.  An ordinance for the purpose of amending Chapter 60 – Critical Areas of the Code of the Town of Leonardtown § 60-7 – Growth Allocation to correct certain minor errors inadvertently enacted by Ordinance No. 204.
