March of Dimes March for Babies 5K Walk

Join us for the March for Babies, and give hope to the more than half a million babies born too soon each year. The money you raise supports programs in your community that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies. And it funds research to find answers to the problems that threaten our babies. March of Dimes has been walking since 1970 and have raised an incredible $2 billion to benefit all babies.

Leonardtown Earth Day Celebration Cancelled

Unfortunately, due to the inclement weather, we have officially decided to cancel the Earth Day event.

There is no rain date.

If you are looking for something to do with your free afternoon, The Leonardtown Arts Center is still hosting former Maryland Poet Laureate Michael Glaser and the poetry open mic starting at 1:00 today.

Next weekend is going to be the Spring Fling Car Show and our next Town sponsored event is Beach Party on the Square on August 4.

Water Shut off - Sunday, April 15 - 7:30 am to 11:00 a.m.

Hydrant repair on Rt. 245, Hollywood Road, in front of the College of Southern Maryland will take place on Sunday, April 15 in concurrence with the road paving.

Water will need to be shut off from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

This will effect homes along Rt. 245 from the Route 5 intersection up to Doctor's Crossing.

17th Annual Run and Fun Walk for Hospice



Support St. Mary’s Hospice and join the 17th Annual 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 14th at the Governmental Center. Start time is 8:30 AM. Children, strollers, and pets are welcome. Pre-register on-line at runforhospice.org or facebook.com/run4hospice or register on event day between 7 AM-8:15 AM. Registration fee includes brunch, professional timing and t-shirt. This is Hospice’s largest annual fundraiser and all net proceeds are used to care for the terminally ill in St. Mary's County. 240-925-5423

Enjoy the scenic walk to the Wharf for free kayak and canoe rides, or bring your mat and join in the yoga class. Kids are invited to hop in our moon bounce, sing along at the puppet show and make earth-friendly crafts that they can take home.
