Neighborhood Safety Reminder

Every so often we need a reminder that as members of the community everyone plays a huge role in creating a safe environment by communicating what you see and hear in your respective neighborhood. We are asking that residents take a proactive role and report any suspicious persons or vehicles.

Secure your vehicles and home at night - make it part of your evening routine to check that all doors and window are locked before you retire for the evening. Stay vigilant in your efforts to maintain the security of your homes by locking all windows and doors, work together with your neighbors to identify any suspicious activity, and if you see something, say something.

Diligent security efforts helps thwart access to your personal belongings and helps keeps our community a safe environment.

Contact the St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Department for any emergency.

First Friday Rain Update

Well, the weather outside is ....indecisive at best! Unfortunately, with the amount of rain we've had today and the forecast for tonight, Miles from Clever will not be performing on the Square for Flip Flop First Friday.

HOWEVER, members of the band have a great acoustic ensemble - The Eds - who WILL be playing on the Square, weather permitting. First Friday specials are still in effect at local business, so check outwww.leonardtownfirstfridays.com and plan to stop by for some great food, drink specials, hard cider tastings and special discounts.

Beach Party Rain Update

Thank you for your great Beach Party comments and memories. Would love to see everyone in Town tomorrow! As of right now, we are ON for Beach Party on the Square - 4 - 9 p.m. If the weather report gets worse overnight and we have to cancel, we will post it here by 10 a.m. tomorrow morning.
