Leonardtown Earth Day Celebration
Sunday, April 13, 2014 - 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm
Leonardtown Square and Wharf
Have you ever seen a car that runs on biodiesel? Art made from recycled materials? Did you know that 1 of only 2 Certified
Organic personal and skincare companies in the State of Maryland makes its home
right here in St. Mary’s County? Would
you like to taste some vegan and gluten free treats? How about a free sample of organic ice
cream? If you answered “yes”, “no”, or
“some of these words confuse me” to any of these questions, you need to come celebrate
Earth Day on the Square in historic downtown Leonardtown, Maryland on Sunday,
April 13, 2014 from 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM.
Environmental and non-profit organizations will be on site
to provide information on energy and water conservation, recycling, sustainability
and organic gardening. Herbs, flowers,
organic fertilizer, jewelry, natural cosmetics and crafts will also be
available for purchase, and many of local restaurants and merchants will be
offering “Earth Day” menu and merchandise specials all day!
