Notice of Public Hearing

The Leonardtown Mayor and Town Council will hold a Public Hearing on Monday,
August 10, 2020 at 4:30 p.m. in the Town Office located at 22670 Washington Street,
Leonardtown, MD. 

The purpose of the hearing is to present for public review and comment text amendments to the Leonardtown Zoning Ordinance – Ordinance No.195 for Property Maintenance; Ordinance No. 196 for Vehicle, Removal and Storage; Ordinance No. 197 for Forest Conservation; Ordinance No. 198 for Streets and Sidewalks; Ordinance No. 199 - Chapters 155-4 and 155-48 to set regulations for small wireless facilities; Ordinance No. 200 to amend the Comprehensive Plan for an Annexation; Ordinance No. 202 – Chapter 155-44 to allow assisted living facilities as an allowed use; and Ordinance No. 203 for Chapter 155-23 to allow for a greater percentage of multi-family housing in PUD’s.

All interested parties are encouraged to attend or to submit written comments by 4:00 p.m. on August 10, 2020 to the Commissioners of Leonardtown, P.O. Box 1, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Special accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities upon request.
