Mission of Mercy (MOM) is a national endeavor that has been providing free dental services for underserved and uninsured adults since 2000. MOM of SoMD is being coordinated by volunteers from St. Mary’s, Charles and Calvert counties. As outpouring of dentists from across the state of Maryland – along with dental hygienists, dental assistants, lab technicians, other health professionals, and a myriad of lay volunteers will work in concert with community groups and agencies to better the oral health of individuals who come to the clinic. The two-day (one weekend) clinic for Southern Maryland (our first!) will be held in June 2012 using portable equipment for cleanings, x-rays, extractions, and fillings. We will serve as many adults as time, volunteers, and supplies allow. All dental services are provided by board certified dental and medical professionals.
We are hosting Herb Reed and The Platters as a FUNraising event for MOM So MD.
