Saturday, May 13, 8:45 – 9:30 p.m.
Candlelight Procession through Town Square
Please be advised that intersections and side roads
accessing Washington Street around the Town Square will be temporarily and
intermittently closed along the following route to allow the procession to
pass. Roads and parking are not closed for the event; however drivers
should expect delays and use great caution entering and exiting the Square from
8:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Procession will leave St. Aloysius Church at approximately
8:45 p.m., crossing Washington Street, following the sidewalks and crosswalks
around the Square to Park Avenue. The path will turn at Park Avenue and
proceed back to St. Aloysius on the opposite side of Washington Street (see
map). Participants should walk on the sidewalks and follow volunteer
instructions.
The event is in honor of the 100th anniversary of
the Apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima; sponsored by the local Catholic
Churches.
Attendance is expected to exceed 200-300 people; parking for
the event is available at St. Aloysius Catholic Church and Father Andrew White
Elementary.
