Please note that for public safety following closures will be in place for the event:

No overnight docking at the Leonardtown Wharf Boat Slips on Friday, July 30th & Saturday, July 31st.

Please also note that the Boat Slips, the Pier closest to the boat slips and the left-hand parking lot at the Leonardtown Wharf will be closed for the event at the following times during the weekend:

Saturday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Ordinance No. 206 - An ordinance for the purpose of amending Chapter 128 (Streets and Sidewalks), § 128-3 of the Town Code for the purpose of providing that no sidewalk, alleyway or roadway or private entrance or exit to or from said sidewalks, alleyways or roadways within the corporate limits of Leonardtown shall be obstructed in any manner, except with the permission of the Mayor and Council first having been obtained.

Ordinance No. 201 reflects the passing of Resolution No. 2-20 – Annexation of 37.6845 acres ± and assigns the zoning categories for the properties annexed.

Notice is hereby given that the Commissioners of Leonardtown have passed, and the Mayor has approved, Ordinance No. 204 – Critical Area Program.  A fair summary of the ordinance will follow:

Ordinance No. 204 - An ordinance for the purpose of repealing and re-enacting Chapter 60 – Critical Areas of the Code of the Town of Leonardtown pursuant to, and in conformity with, MD Code Ann., Natural Resources § 8-1801, et seq. and COMAR Title 27, Subtitle 1.

Ordinance No. 204 - will become effective February 1, 2021.  Full text of this ordinance may be obtained at the Town Office at 22670 Washington Street, Leonardtown, MD between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday or on-line on the Town’s website at www.leonardtown.somd.com

Notice is hereby given that the Commissioners of Leonardtown have passed, and the Mayor has approved, Ordinance No. 205 – Sale of Surplus Real Property, Acquisition of Real Property for Public Purpose and Exchange of Stormwater Management Easements.  A fair summary of the ordinance will follow:

Ordinance No. 205 - An ordinance for the purpose of 1) approving the sale of a portion of certain real property located on Courthouse Drive, Leonardtown, Maryland; 2) approving the purchase of certain real property located on Van Wert Lane; 3) approving the exchange of easements with Van Wert, LLC for the purposes of stormwater management and parking; 4) authorizing the Mayor and Town Administrator to execute all documents.

CANCELLED - Planning and Zoning Commission meeting for Tuesday, January 19, 2021

 The Planning and Zoning Commission meeting was moved to Tuesday, January 19, 2021 due to the federal holiday observance of Martin Luther King Birthday. 

There being no cases to be heard, the meeting scheduled to be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 has been cancelled.

Town Council meeting - Monday, January 11, 2021 at 4:00 p.m.
