The Town of Leonardtown will hold a Town Council meeting on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Town Hall with a Workshop held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Town Hall.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Leonardtown Mayor and Town Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 4:15 pm at the Town Hall, 22670 Washington Street, Leonardtown, MD to hear comments on Resolution 1-21 Resolution to Declare Certain Real Property Owned by the Commissioners of Leonardtown, portions of property shown on Map 133, Parcels 228 of various parcels, containing 39.25 acres +/- as surplus and no longer needed for public purpose.

All interested parties are encouraged to attend or to submit written comments by 4:00 p.m. on March 8, 2021 to the Commissioners of Leonardtown, P.O. Box 1, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Special accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities upon request.

Due to icy conditions, today's trash collection today is delayed for pickup tomorrow and Friday's collection will be picked up on Saturday.

Fair Summary of Ordinance No. 201

  

Notice is hereby given that the Commissioners of Leonardtown have passed, and the Mayor has approved, Ordinance No. 201 – Leonardtown Comprehensive Zoning Map.  A fair summary of the ordinance will follow:

Ordinance No. 201 - An ordinance for the purpose of adopting updates and revisions to the Comprehensive Zoning Map for the Town of Leonardtown.

Ordinance No. 201 reflects the passing of Resolution No. 2-20 – Annexation of 37.6845 acres ± and assigns the zoning categories for the properties annexed.

Ordinance No. 201 - will become effective March 1, 2021.  Full text of this ordinance may be obtained at the Town Office at 22670 Washington Street, Leonardtown, MD between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday or on-line on the Town’s website at www.Leonardtown.somd.com
