Blue Grass for Hospice on Oct. 23


The 2nd Annual “Bluegrass for Hospice” music festival, food drive, and craft fair is on Saturday, October 23, 2010 from noon until 9:00 pm. The event is at Flat Iron Farm on Flat Iron Road in Great Mills, MD. All proceeds will be used for the Hospice House in St. Mary’s County. Tickets are $20.00 before October 16 and $25.00 at the gate. There will be music, a $500.00 raffle, door prizes, silent auctions, craft fair and children’s activities. Food will be available for sale by Thompson’s Catering, B.Y.O.B. Also, please bring a non-perishable food item to help replenish the Southern Maryland Food Banks.

The entertainment for the day is as follows- “The Grascals” from Nashville, TN along with locals: 12:00- 12:30- David Norris; 12:40-1:25- Joey Tippett & The California Ramblers; 1:35-2:20- Jack Tippett Band; 2:30-3:15- Bubby Abell & Spoon Creek; 3:25-4:10- Charlie Thompson & Bottom Country Bluegrass; 4:20-4:50- Gracie’s Guys and Gals Dancers; 5:00-5:45- Jay Armsworthy & Eastern Tradition; 5:55-6:40- Ken Rickett & Recent Addtion; 7:00-8:30—The Grascals!
