St. Mary’s Ryken will hold a
special Information Session on Monday, October 13 (Columbus Day) from 8:30-10
a.m. This is a regular school day for SMR and classes will be in session.
Administrators and faculty will be on hand to answer your questions and to give
tours of the campus. The school will still have their regular fall Open House
on Sunday, November 2, from 12-3 p.m. Both events are free and open to the
public. St. Mary’s Ryken is one of 13 Xaverian Brothers Sponsored Schools in
the United States. The school is located at 22600 Camp Calvert Road in

The Blaine Whorl Memorial 5K honors
the memory of this 2002 St. Mary’s Ryken graduate. Proceeds benefit a
scholarship in his name. The walk/run is on Saturday, October 18, and begins at
9 a.m. at the SMR Stadium and continues through Leonardtown. The course has
been certified by USA Track & Field. Registration is $25 per runner and $20
