The Friends of the
Leonardtown Theater, Inc., in partnership with Pax Velo cycling club, will
present an outdoor screening of the movie Breaking Away on Saturday
night, June 1st, on the Square in Leonardtown, starting at 8:30 p.m.
This outdoor film event is open and free to the public, but donations to help restore the Leonardtown Theater are welcome. Bring folding lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. Refreshments will be available for purchase and most local restaurants will be open. In the event of inclement weather, the screening will be moved to the Dorsey Building in Leonardtown at the same date and time. Please note that for spectator safety, outbound Washington Street from Café des Artistes to Corner Critters will be closed. Incoming traffic on Washington Street and Park Avenue will be detoured around the Square. Cones, signs and volunteers will be helping to direct traffic.
