No. 234
Notice
is hereby given that the Commissioners of Leonardtown have passed, and the
Mayor has approved, Ordinance No. 234 amends Chapter 62, “Development Impact
Fees,” of the Code of the Town of Leonardtown to establish a public school
impact fee for new residential development in the Town. The Ordinance
establishes a fee of $2,135 per new home or townhome, to help defray
public school infrastructure costs attributable to new residential development.
The fee does not apply to residential developments restricted by recorded
covenant to residents age 55 and older. Full text of this ordinance may
be obtained at the Town Office at 22670 Washington Street, Leonardtown, MD
between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday or on-line
on the Town’s website at www.Leonardtown.somd.com.
